I recently came across an offer from Amazon.  They are now offering their Amazon Prime service for free to college students.  I not a huge fan of Amazon Prime because of the price.  If you are an active Amazon user you might find value in it, but I buy maybe 1 item a month from Amazon.  The usual price is $79 a year to get 2 day shipping on everything Amazon sells.  You can upgrade to next day shipping for #3.99 an item if you need your stuff faster.  If are a current college student and have a .edu email address,  you can go to http://www.amazon.com/gp/student/signup/info to sign up.  For the low price of FREE I believe it’s worth the price.

I just watched a TED video by Gever Tulley on “5 dangerous things you should let your kids do”. It is great. He talks about giving kids the freedom to explore in order to make them stronger, smarter and actually safer. Watch the video after the break and more comments from me…
